Improving mental and physical health. Building confidence and self esteem.

Our Hygiene Distribution Program is designed to support youth wellness and bullying prevention by ensuring access to essential care items. When young people lack hygiene resources, it can affect their confidence, social interactions, and mental health — sometimes leading to negative experiences such as teasing or bullying.
Through this program, Dawl Camp provides youth with toiletries and wellness supplies that help them feel comfortable and confident in school and in the community. By promoting cleanliness and positive self-image, we work to create healthier learning environments and stronger communities.
Recent Partner Impact:
Our Clothing & Shoe Distribution Program, known as Love Every Step You Take, helps youth ages 5–16 access school clothing, professional attire, shoes, and socks. This program empowers youth by removing barriers that can stand in the way of participation, confidence, and opportunity. With the right clothing and footwear, youth are better prepared for school, community events, and personal growth.
This initiative not only addresses basic needs but also uplifts self-esteem and ensures that youth show up looking and feeling their best.
Recent Partner Impact:
• Ross partnered with us to provide school and professional clothing through Love Every Step You Take.
• The San Joaquin Community Foundation – Brian M. Stoker Fund 24 made it possible to provide youth in need with shoes and socks.
This hygiene corner will give San Joaquin County youth in need sustainable access and support to essential hygiene products. Creating a remarkable wave for youth to build confidence and self esteem.
The need to help hygiene insecurity:
Children are being sent to school in dirty clothes with unbrushed teeth as parents can no longer afford toiletries. This has become such an epidemic that 46% of teachers have now seen children bullied because of their hygiene issues, according to a report by In Kind Direct. Parents – who are blighted by low wages, high housing costs and benefit cuts – are struggling to afford even the most basic of hygiene products. More than four in 10 parents have gone without hygiene products due to costs; while one in five admit their child wears the same underwear at least two days in a row. Teachers are now seeing a dramatic surge in this type of poverty, with eight in 10 teachers saying they have seen an increase in the number of pupils coming to school unwashed.
